Tried and True Label Trends

A label is just a label. Labels are so important in the marketing of your product. They’re the face of your product and you want them to stand out from the rest of your competition. You want to engage your customers through branding and there are some labelling trends that will help you do this.

Peel and reveal labels are the perfect solution when printing space is limited. Peel and reveal, also known as peel off stickers, are now widely used on products to reveal more information, special offers or competition details. Thanks to multi layers, peel and reveal labelling allows marketers to include more information on their packaging without increasing area space. This method also saves on material and labour costs.

Natural kraft is paper made from the chemical pulp produced during the process of making paper, known as the kraft process. The kraft process uses mechanical and chemical methods to convert wood chips into pulp. Natural kraft has the colour, texture and consistency of a recycled brown paper bag and is designed to give labels a rustic or earthy look and appeal to environmentally-conscious consumers. Natural kraft is one of the most durable paper materials and is highly tear-resistant. Natural kraft labels are popular for local, hand-made products including candles, arts and crafts and gourmet food and beverages. The light brown aesthetic goes well with printed black, white, gold or green contrasting colours.

Gloss white and clear polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic polymer used in a wide variety of applications including packaging and labelling. PP is one of most versatile materials in the marketplace because it offers excellent durability and moisture resistance. Clear and gloss white PP labels are designed to bond almost seamlessly with the product once applied. We recommend these labels for glass and plastic bottles and containers for food, beverage, cosmetic, personal care and household products.

Electrostatic stickers are non-adhesive. That means that they don’t leave a sticky residue and come away cleanly without a trace. Electrostatic stickers are made from synthetic polyvinyl carbonate (PVC) – a robust plastic material that’s printable. Electrostatic stickers are water-resistant, washable and can be used outdoors, and are also scratch-proof and won’t tear. Use your stickers on a variety of surfaces including paper, glass, plastics, metals, candles, drywall and wood. Electrostatic stickers are ideal for short term use on store windows, office wall and doors, event and tradeshow collateral, retail product packaging, electrical and white goods.
