Labelservice are proud to offer a range of labels, all manufactured from sustainable sources.

MarbleBase is made from calcium carbonate derived from marble mining waste and high density polyethylene (HDPE). It offers a matt, soft touch, tear resistant facestock.  The material is fully waterproof but retains a paper look, which is essential if you are looking for a more rustic, antique feel to your products.  The material is also suitable for embossing, which makes it unique as other waterproof materials such as PP and PE are too soft for any high build print to be successful.

MarbleBase can also be recycled in the PE recycled system, and it does start to degrade after 9-14 months of exposure in sunlight. The material has the Cradle to Cradle (C2C) Silver certificate for facestock, and was manufactured without water or bleach and is tree free.

Suitable for food, beverage and home and personal care products, it is available with a high tack permanent adhesive, and also an adhesive suitable for direct food contact.  Using MarbleBase labels enables you to give a positive brand message about sustainability, whilst retaining a high quality look for your labels.

Forest Film.  Forest is an efficient and impactful way to reach your sustainability goals. It’s made from 100% renewable wood-based raw materials in an ISCC certified value chain and it allows you to gradually replace fossil-based film materials. All in all, you don’t have to compromise on sustainability or performance.  The label material has been developed by giving new life to waste from the pulping process to produce a 100% wood-based solution originating from sustainably managed forests.

The material is a clear film, we can offer short run, multiple sort jobs through to full production runs.  We can also add a range of finishes such as matt, gloss and silk varnishes and laminates, as well as specials such as soft touch, linen and rough touch textured laminations.

Ocean Action labels are a product that uses ocean bound plastic as a label material, with an aim to create a demand for reclaiming plastic waste before it pollutes our oceans. The Ocean Action label, made from ocean bound plastic, is available in white and clear ISCC PLUS certified C-PCR film.

Ocean bound plastic is abandoned plastic waste of all sizes located within 50km from shore in communities or areas where waste management is inexistent or very inefficient. Plastic waste is not collected correctly and abandoned in the environment from where it can be transported to the ocean by rain, wind, tides, river flow, or floods. Ocean bound plastic is waste that would otherwise damage the ocean, harm sea life, and even eventually end up on our plates through marine food chains.
